We are all touched by mental illness – a friend, a loved one, a colleague, a neighbor, or ourselves. One in five people face mental health disorders each year, but less than half receive treatment. We must start the conversation that encourages support and respect for those struggling with mental illness.

Mental Health America of Hawaii offers daily telephone assistance, connecting callers to help they may need for mental health problems. Most of our callers are people with mental health problems who are seeking help for a problem or are having difficulty with a provider, or a family member whose relative has mental health and needs services.

Mental Health America of Hawaii also has two resource guides that are distributed: “Finding Help: Human Services Directory for the State of Hawaii” and “Finding Help Consumer’s Guide to Mental Health Services in Hawaii”
