Matt Sorenson HURT100 Fundraiser
January 14, 2023 – January 15, 2023

In January, Matt Sorenson ran in the HURT100 and raised over $760 for Mental Health America of Hawaiʻi. Donations raised were the equivalent to us being able to register 32 people to take Mental Health First Aid, or to cover the cost of one staff person presenting 24 one-hour resilience/wellness trainings – a massive impact in our community!

On January 14, 2023, Matt Sorenson will again be running in the HURT100 and raising money to support Mental Health America of Hawaiʻi’s (MHAH) work in Hawaiʻi. The HURT100 is a two-day race which consists of five identical 20-mile laps on trails connecting the Mānoa, Makiki, and Nu‘uanu Valleys here on the island of Oahu. Each lap consists of nearly 5000 ft of elevation gain and loss totaling up to almost 25000 ft by the end of the 100-mile race.

Please support Matt’s fundraiser for Mental Health America of Hawaiʻi by making a pledge or a donation.

Mental Health America of Hawaiʻi is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Tax ID #: 99-0076458

Meet Matt Sorenson

Matt started running at the beginning of 2021 as a New Year’s Resolution that was put into place to help not only his physical health but his mental health as well. Realizing the importance of organizations dedicated to spreading awareness about mental health, MHAH and Matt have come together to form an amazing partnership that will hopefully help many find the resources they need to live a happy and healthy life!
