Attended by nearly 300 people, this year’s awards honored six outstanding mental health leaders from across the state. Our honorees shared their experiences of the strides they have made and the challenges they have overcome in helping to reduce stigma and improve the well-being for those facing mental illness in Hawaii. Their inspiring stories served as a reminder of how mental health is part of everyone’s experience, and how important it is to respect, honor and listen to those experiences and one another.
Mahalo to our honorees for continuing the great work that they do; our staff, board of directors and advisory board; our generous event sponsors; and of course, the many of you who attended and shared your afternoon with us. We’ll see you all again next May as we celebrate our 15th year of honoring Hawaii’s mental health heroes!
