Outstanding Youth Advocate<\/strong>
\nWaipahu High School’s Youth for Safety Club is a group of student leaders who advocate for the wellbeing and safety of students on the Leeward Coast. They have been strong advocates for suicide prevention, prevention of domestic violence, traffic safety, anti-bullying, and underage drinking prevention. They continue to engage the students and faculty of Waipahu high school in innovative ways, such as creating curriculum, partnering with community organizations to create campus-wide wellness fairs, and creating their own communication campaigns for the student body.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
