Hawaii News Now commissioned and broadcast the documentary “No Room in Paradise” which shed light on the root causes of homelessness in Hawaii. This production was the first large media project to illustrate mental illness as one of the root causes of homelessness. With this documentary, Hawaii News Now educated local audiences and amplified the dialogue on homelessness and mental health in our community.
